Local Laundry Apparel

Great things happen when you support your local businesses. Communities become closer and stronger, partnerships begin to flourish, and community members become family. At VeryCanadian, we are fortunate to have  seen this happen first hand and in Calgary, Connor and Dustin share a similar experience!

The founders of Local Laundry Apparel, Connor and Dustin, launched their community-centered company in  April 2015 and have not looked back….or stopped giving back! The thing that really sets this company apart from the many others is not just their immense pride and love of Calgary but their commitment to putting their “money where their mouth is” and investing 10% of their profits into local charities that are chosen by you, the consumer.

Reading this left me speechless while wanting to scream it off the rooftops at the same time...it doesn’t get any better than this!

Except it does.

On their website, Local Laundry shares that the driving force behind the company has always been about building community and having a positive impact on that community.Their goal is to be Canada’s best company at building community and they plan on doing this through Representing where you come from, Sharing Stories from Community Builders, Collaborating with people who share their goal to make positive impacts, and by Giving Back to the community through local charities. If shopping isn’t your thing, you definitely can’t go wrong being a part of such great initiatives!

So, what does Local Laundry Apparel make?? Locally crafted t-shirts, sweatshirts, toques (of course!), tank tops, and hats! They have a few different collections to choose from including the infamous YYC Community Collection that includes your favourite Calgary neighbourhood! They are sunsetting this project but are still taking custom orders.

Now you can’t say you didn’t know!
